You have graduated and are pursuing your LPC Associate license, and now you're stepping into the next chapter of building real clinical experience, finding your voice, and figuring out who you are as a therapist. I'd love to be the person in your corner from day one.

Supervision for Therapists

Supervision for Texas LPC Associates

I'm Angelic, Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor in Texas, and my approach to supervision is the same as my approach to therapy: relational, human, and grounded in actually seeing you as a whole person. That includes being culturally responsive and staying grounded in what's actually happening in the world around us, not just what's in a textbook.

My clinical style draws from Internal Family Systems, person-centered, Gestalt, humanistic, and existential therapy. My work is trauma-informed and integrative, meaning I tailor supervision to fit what you actually need rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. As your supervisor, I'll help you find and trust your own theoretical voice instead of just handing you mine.

I know firsthand how valuable it is to have a supervisor who empowers you to find your own voice, take care of yourself, and keep learning about this field. That's the kind of supervisor I want to be for you. I spent 5 years in community mental health and another 4 years in private and group practice before launching my own private practice, so I've sat in a lot of different seats and picked up a lot along the way, and I love passing that on. I'm also passionate about supporting associates who are curious about opening their own private practice. I just went through that entire process myself, start to finish, so if that's part of your vision, I can walk it with you. Supervision with me is a space to bring your real cases, your real questions, and the parts you're still not sure about, and grow from there.

LPC Supervision for Texas Associates

About Me as a Supervisor

  • Individual, dyad, or group supervision offered depending on interest and fit, in whatever mix works for you
  • Available in-person in the Conroe, TX area or virtual, your choice
  • Frequency and scheduling worked out together based on what fits both our calendars
  • Support with case conceptualization, ethics, documentation, and clinical decision-making
  • Space to talk through the stuff nobody teaches you in grad school: self-doubt, imposter syndrome, finding your voice as a clinician
  • Guidance on private practice if that's where you're headed

What Supervision Looks Like

Once we decide to work together, we'll complete the required Supervision Agreement Form (SAF) with the Texas Board, and you'll sign a supervision contract with me outlining expectations, structure, and policies so we're both on the same page from day one.

  • A strong ethical foundation and respect for Texas Board Rules
  • Someone who takes ownership of their growth and shows up prepared
  • Good communication, honesty when something isn't working, and willingness to ask questions
  • Reliability with logging hours, notes, and documentation
  • Someone who wants a real, engaged supervisory relationship

What I'm Looking For in an Associate

Investment

To start, I ask for a $100 deposit, which gets applied toward your sixth month of supervision. I want to be upfront about why: it's not about distrust, it's just that supervision is a real commitment on both sides, and this helps make sure we're both showing up for the long haul rather than starting over with someone new every few months. If you leave supervision before your sixth month, the deposit isn't refunded.

$85/hour, flat monthly rate of $340 for 4 hours a month. This covers any combination of individual, dyad, or group supervision.

I offer individual and dyad supervision now, and group supervision as I grow my caseload. Dyad and group pairings happen organically as the right fit comes together.

Do you offer group supervision?

Yes. I offer both in-person supervision in the Conroe, TX area and virtual supervision, and you can choose whichever works best for you.

Can supervision be virtual?

LPC Associates need 3,000 total clock hours of supervised experience, with at least 1,500 of those being direct client contact, over a minimum of 18 months. You'll need at least 4 hours of supervision each month.

How many supervision hours do I need in Texas?

Yes, I ask for a $100 deposit to begin supervision, which is applied toward your sixth month with me. If you leave before your sixth month, the deposit isn't refunded. It's simply my way of making sure we're both entering into this ready to see it through together.

Is there a deposit?

I'd love to support you with that! I recently built my own private practice from scratch, so I can help you think through what that path could look like for you, whether that's now or down the road.

What if I'm interested in private practice one day?

FAQs

Reach out through the contact form and we'll set up a consult call to talk about fit, your goals, and the practical stuff like scheduling and fees.

How do I get started?

Your $340 monthly rate doesn't begin until your license upgrade is approved and supervision officially starts.

When does payment start?

For fellow licensed therapists who want a thinking partner, a sounding board, or support navigating the clinical, professional, or business side of this work.

This isn't an ongoing standing commitment. It's here whenever you need it: book a session as things come up, whether that's once or every few months.

Consultation Services

Why Work With Me

I've spent 5 years in community mental health, 4 years in private and group practice, and now run my own solo practice, so I've been in a lot of the seats you might be sitting in right now. Whether you're stuck on a case, thinking about branching into private practice, or just need to talk through something with someone who gets it, I bring the same warmth and directness to consultation that I bring to therapy and supervision.

  • Case conceptualization or getting unstuck with a client
  • Starting or growing a private practice, from paperwork to pricing
  • Marketing, branding, and finding your niche
  • Burnout, boundaries, and sustaining yourself in this work long term
  • Navigating a tricky ethical or clinical situation
